We partnered with Monexa Systems, a US-based fintech provider, to design and build SwiftLoan App - a white-label mobile lending platform for banks, credit unions, and alternative lenders. SwiftLoan offers flexible loan configurations, seamless KYC integrations, secure payment processing, and a UX tailored for both experienced and first-time borrowers.

About the business

Cortex Finance is a large US-based fintech company developing intelligent digital tools that empower users to better manage, save, and plan their personal finances. Cortex Finance has been building secure, scalable solutions for the American market for years. Their target users are younger audiences who seek solutions with mobile-first, intuitive experiences.

With a growing portfolio of B2C products, the company decided to build and launch a brand new solution called Finly App. It should be a cross-platform personal finance platform designed to become the industry’s top player. The idea behind the solution was to provide users with a multifunctional app that will let them manage their finances effortlessly.

Being an expert in fintech development, we set out to create Finly App and release it in under 10 months.

Project tasks and challenges

SwiftLoan was envisioned as a white-label mobile lending platform that could be rapidly deployed by Monexa’s B2B clients under their own brand. And the main task of our team was to build the entire solution following our proven process - from discovery to development. While building the app we also needed to meet strict financial, legal, and user experience requirements to make this solution competitive, secure and future-proof.

Here are the main project tasks we set:

  • Design and develop a micro lending mobile app for iOS and Android with flexible UI/UX adjustments.
  • Build an intuitive web-based admin portal for managing loans, users, repayment statuses, and client-specific configurations.
  • Enable seamless integration with third-party services for KYC/AML, credit scoring, and payment processing (ACH, card, wallet), streamlining user onboarding and loan disbursement.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with state-specific lending regulations, secure data management, and comprehensive audit logging capabilities.
  • Implement a scalable architecture that keeps each client’s data environment isolated while maintaining centralized system efficiency.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to enable faster and easier client onboarding and streamlined delivery of updates.

Key challenges we experienced during our development journey:

  • Dual audience architecture (B2B2C). The product had to meet the needs of both Monexa’s business clients and their end-users, so it required highly flexible UX design and adaptable backend logic.
  • Tough deadlines. The client wanted to launch the first MVP within 5 months,and that deadline demanded tight coordination, rapid iterations, and a high delivery pace.
  • White-label customization logic. The system needed to support customization of branding, loan terms, and scoring rules without fragmenting the codebase or compromising UX.
  • US regulatory requirements. The app needed to comply with US regulations related to KYC, AML, and data privacy, and those requirements significantly impacted our design, integrations, and infrastructure decisions.
  • UX for first-time borrowers. Since many end-users will probably be new to digital lending, the UX needed to guide them clearly with intuitive feedback, simplified decision-making, and high accessibility.

User Onboarding & Identity Verification

We designed intuitive and clear onboarding flow to make user registration fast, secure, and compliant with US financial regulations. The onboarding process combines intuitive UX with robust identity verification and offers the following options:

  • Quick registration via phone or email with built-in two-factor authentication for additional account protection.
  • Automated KYC verification using integrations with providers like Onfido or Alloy, ensuring compliance with AML and identity laws.
  • Document scanning and selfie match to validate the real user.
  • Optional SSN input for lenders requiring enhanced identity scoring.

Due to the user-centric design created by our team, Monexa managed to drastically reduce onboarding time while maintaining regulatory standards and building user trust from the first interaction with the SwiftLoan.

PLATFORM FEATURES

Loan Request & Calculation

Our client wanted to ensure that the entire process of loan request could be completed in under 2 minutes. That’s a critical factor in increasing application completion rates, especially for mobile-first users.

So our team built the loan request experience around simplicity, clarity, and speed. We implemented a smart loan calculator and a clear intuitive flow to encourage conversion and reduce cognitive load. Here is what else we added:

  • Loan amount and term sliders paired with a real-time loan calculator that shows total repayment, APR, and monthly installments.
  • Eligibility messaging that’s dynamically updated as users adjust inputs.
  • Loan purpose selection (e.g., emergency, education, personal), which feeds into underwriting rules for more accurate risk analysis.
  • One-tap submission for registered users with auto-filled data and visual feedback.

Loan Overview

Once approved, users gain access to a clear, action-oriented loan dashboard designed to help them easily monitor and manage their active loans. The interface offers real-time visibility into key loan details, such as disbursement confirmation, repayment progress, and remaining balances.

The dashboard also includes a built-in payment calendar that highlights upcoming due dates and provides options for early repayment. Users can easily access downloadable PDF documents of their signed loan agreements and full transaction history. For even more convenient loan management, we included an auto-pay toggle that allows for seamless repayments via linked bank accounts or cards.

Accessibility was a core focus of our dashboard’s design. It features large typography, a strong visual hierarchy, and full support for both dark and light modes. The solution is fully white-label and adaptable to any brand’s visual identity.

Automated Underwriting & Instant Decisioning

To support high-volume and low-touch lending, we built a rule-based engine automating credit decisions in seconds. Its customizable logic covers income, credit scores, loan purpose, and alternative markers. This feature is integrated with US credit bureaus and optional bank aggregation to deliver instant eligibility results with visual feedback and admin-level control.

Loan Repayment & Payment Flexibility

We designed a user-friendly repayment system with a dynamic calendar, auto-pay setup, and smart reminders. There are also late payment alerts and rescheduling options that offer both fixed and flexible schedules, adapting to diverse lending models. With SwiftLoan ,users can access their payment history and download necessary receipts.

White-Label Customization & Admin Control

SwiftLoan’s multi-tenant architecture provides full theming (logos, colors, fonts) and loan configuration tools. The admin panel of the app enables role-based user management, performance monitoring, and real-time analytics. Due to this high customization level, Monexa can easily launch fully branded solutions under different client identities.

Security, Compliance & UX Enhancements

We embedded end-to-end encryption, secure authentication (MFA, biometrics), and GDPR/CCPA compliance. The SOC2-ready backend includes detailed audit trails. We also took care of UX improvements like dark mode, micro-interactions, and contextual help to ensure a smooth, trustworthy user experience prepared for future scaling.

PROJECT JOURNEY

Development approach

To meet Monexa’s ambitious go-to-market timeline and deliver a scalable white-label MVP of the SwiftLoan app, we followed a structured development approach. We divided all processes into smaller phases. Our team worked in close collaboration with the client across strategy, design, and engineering. Here is how the development process looked like:

Phase 1: Discovery & Product Scoping

We kicked off the project with an in-depth discovery phase to define the product vision, user roles, and technical requirements. During the discovery, we:

  • Conducted workshops with Monexa’s business and compliance teams
  • Mapped out core user journeys for both borrowers and admin users
  • Defined MVP scope and white-label configuration options
  • Prioritized features for fast initial release and long-term scalability

Phase 2: UX/UI Design

Our design team focused on clarity, accessibility, and adaptability while ensuring that the UI could be easily customized for different B2B clients of Monexa. Here is what we did:

  • Created low-fidelity wireframes for all user flows
  • Developed a responsive design system with light and dark themes
  • Prototyped the mobile app and admin panel to test brand-switching logic
  • Validated UX with user scenarios and early users

Phase 3: Full-Cycle Development

We assembled a cross-functional delivery team to build the solution using agile sprints. Here is how it worked out:

  • Mobile app and admin portal were developed in parallel with API design
  • We integrated KYC, credit scoring, and payment processing services
  • We implemented a white-label theming engine and tenant-based data isolation
  • And finally, set up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and QA environments

Phase 4: QA, Security & Launch

Before going live, we ensured system reliability, and compliance through rigorous validation. Our actionable steps were:

  • Manual and automated testing across devices and user types
  • Helped Monexa to complete security and data handling audits based on SOC 2 guidelines
  • Supported Monexa’s internal teams during the onboarding of their first clients
  • Delivering documentation and training for future tenant rollouts

Once everything was set and ready, we performed a successful launch of SwiftLoan and started collecting and analyzing user feedback to suggest further scaling and improvement strategy.

OUTCOME

Our collaboration with Monexa Systems resulted in the successful delivery of a high-performing, customizable micro lending platform in just 6 months. SwiftLoan is now completely ready for B2B deployment across the US financial sector.

Our client got fully functional white-label mobile app with SOC2-ready architecture and modular UI, ready for client-brand adaptation. 3 enterprise clients onboarded and started actively using SwiftLoan within the first quarter after its launch.

SwiftLoan quickly became a strategic asset in Monexa’s B2B product portfolio, allowing them to:

  • Expand into new lending verticals (short-term, underbanked, digital-only lenders)
  • Offer faster onboarding and lower entry barriers for smaller financial institutions
  • Strengthen long-term client retention
